Last weeks' Shop Sweep was played over the first 15 holes and was won by Martin Monaghan who pocketed the £60 credit. It was a relatively calm week which makes Marty's win all the more impressive as he could not fully utilize his exceptionally low centre of gravity. Winning the gross and £50 was Michael Meenan with a 59 (+2) narrowly beating Darren McCabe on the last 9 holes. Darren has been the bridesmaid a couple of times now and I am sure will take the gross prize soon. Also in the prizes were Gerard Lawn, Ryan Conway, Gerard Rafferty, Niall McKenna and Brendan Mulgrew. Two's paid £11 each.
I will not be able to formulate this week's result until Monday so I would ask you all to be patient.
I have a few special offers starting on Saturday morning 15th while stocks last.

The pro and the JP
A local Justice of the Peace was about to tee off with two other friends one day when the club pro volunteered to join them. It seemed like the perfect opportunity for a free lesson.
But instead of being helpful the pro was openly critical of the JP's game. At every bumbled shot, the pro made a joke about the justice.
But the criticism didn't even stop at the end of the round. The pro continued to embarrass the JP in the clubhouse among his friends. Finally the pro got up to leave and said, "Judge, let's do it again sometime. If you can't find anybody else to make a foursome, I'll be glad to play with you again."
"Well that would be fine," the justice of the peace said. "How about next Saturday? I don't think any of my friends can join us, so why don't you just have your parents join us, and after our round I can marry them."
