Welcome everyone to this week’s newsletter.
Captains Drive-in
The season has now officially kicked off as our two Captains drove in the new golfing season on Saturday past. This is the first year that the ladies branch have been involved in the drive-in and it would be fair to say it was a resounding success and lets hope this is not a one off but an annual collaboration.
Saturday morning, our two Captains looked pensive (one more than the other – no names) but both Diane (above) and Martin (below) were able to put their nerves behind them and hit cracking tee-shots to make anyone proud. I did hear murmurings from a number of members that thought perhaps Captain Martin had hired a stand-in as even his usual playing partners didn’t think he could hit a drive as good as he did. Investigations are ongoing?
New stock
New stock is arriving in the pro shop daily from all the major companies and I would encourage you all to call in and have a look. I hope to finalise the shop renovations by the end of the month and I hope you will all agree there is a vast improvement to the look and feel of the shop now all the major works are completed.
Fitting Days
Currently I have the following fitting days arranged:
Monday 28th April – Titleist
Tuesday 13th May – Callaway
Week starting the 14th April – Cobra (day to be finalised)
Fitting days cost £20 to book a 30 minute fitting and the £20 comes of the price of any clubs bought as a result of the fitting. If you'd like to book a session please speak to me in the pro shop or click here
I also have fitting days with PING and TaylorMade, with dates to follow. Keep watching this space.
